Content Consumption
Copyright infringement will ALWAYS happen until content owners provide an easy way to sell their content to consumers. Cable = not an easy way to sell their content to consumers. Take HBO for example…instead of selling me their content directly (which I would happily pay for), they put a middle man in there (cable co) and make me jump through hoops to consume the content. So why WOULDN’T I obtain it in the easiest way possible (stealing)? This is not a hard concept to wrap your head around, unless you’re a 65 year old executive for a content creation company. And legislation will NOT fix the problem. Solution: you own content? Sell it to me directly. Threat = neutralized.
